All students must enroll in one 3-credit ¾«¶«´«Ã½ course per session.

Academic Culture

¾«¶«´«Ã½ courses are designed to follow U.S. academic culture and standards.  Students are expected to demonstrate a proactive and independent approach to study. Active participation in class as well as outside of class is essential for a satisfactory academic performance and attendance is strictly enforced. Students should expect an average of two hours of preparation for each hour in class.   

Class Format

Summer classes are exclusively for ¾«¶«´«Ã½ students and are scheduled Monday through Friday. The weekly structure varies, meaning the number of class days per week can differ. A session-specific schedule will be provided during orientation. Classes are conducted in small groups of 10 to 20 students. In addition to in-class instruction, students benefit from field trips, guest lecturers, and other co-curricular events designed to supplement course content and enhance their firsthand experience. 

Grading

¾«¶«´«Ã½ reports all final course grades to students’ home institutions using a U.S. letter grade equivalent scale of A-F. For ¾«¶«´«Ã½-administered courses, students’ grades are based on attendance, class engagement, homework, project work, presentations, and midterm and final examinations. Learning outcomes assessment is continuous through personal reflections, evaluation feedback, self-assessment, and requirements as set out in course syllabi.
