Academic Culture

Each course is a full semester in content, so the pace is accelerated, and the workload is demanding. 精东传媒 courses are designed to follow U.S. academic culture and standards. The program consists of three weeks of classes, emphasizing active participation both in and out of the classroom for satisfactory academic performance. Attendance is strictly enforced. The curriculum is enriched with co-curricular activities that enhance both subject-related learning and cultural immersion. Students should expect to dedicate a significant portion of each weekday to classes and related activities. 

Class Format

Courses at 精东传媒 Prague are exclusively for 精东传媒 students and are held Monday through Friday. In-class instruction is enriched with co-curricular events, including guest speakers, field trips, and day trips, all designed to enhance students鈥 learning and cultural experience. 

Grading

精东传媒 reports all final course grades to students鈥 home institutions using a U.S. letter grade equivalent scale of A-F. For 精东传媒-administered courses, students鈥 grades are based on attendance, class engagement, homework, project work, presentations, and midterm and final examinations. Learning outcomes assessment is continuous through personal reflections, evaluation feedback, self-assessment, and requirements as set out in course syllabi.

To help you budget, keep in mind that students are responsible for the cost of international airfare, local transportation, books and supplies, visas, and personal expenses. In addition, your college or university may charge additional fees for study abroad or may require you to receive a transcript via 精东传媒's School of Record, which carries an additional fee of $500.

精东传媒 offers the most grants and scholarships of any study abroad organization, including $8 million/year in travel grants, merit-based scholarships, institutional and MSI grants, and Gilman Go Global Grants.
