Your ��ý Semester Global Internship program in Dublin lasts 12 weeks and features three key components: A full-time internship with an international organization (approximately 30 hours per week), an internship seminar, and the option to take a course taught online through ��ý’s global academic partner, ASU. Enhance your experience with co-curricular and extracurricular activities while building career skills, expanding your professional network, and immersing yourself in Irish culture. Housing

��ý Dublin offers housing in apartments located in student residence communities. All housing options are located in lively districts with multiple dining options, convenient public transportation access, and are within 30 minutes of central Dublin (on foot).

Standard Housing: Includes a private bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, a dedicated study space, and ample storage in an apartment suite shared with up to seven other students. All students share common spaces, a kitchen, and laundry facilities. Apartments are located under 45 minutes from ��ý Dublin by public transport.

Select Housing: Includes a private bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, a dedicated study space, and ample storage in an apartment suite shared with up to seven other students. All students share common spaces, a kitchen, and laundry facilities. Apartments are located under 20 minutes from ��ý Dublin by public transport. Select housing requires an additional fee.

A note: The default criterion to assign housing is first-come, first-served; however, other factors may also be considered. If we cannot accommodate your first housing choice, we'll let you know before you arrive. Non-standard housing options require an additional fee that can be found in the program Dates and Fees.

��ý Dublin: Study in the heart of Dublin’s lively south central district, five minutes from the River Liffey and Merrion Square. ��ý Dublin features three classrooms and a student lounge and is conveniently near a mix of independent cafés, bakeries, and stores.

Arizona State University (ASU): Brought to you by ��ý in partnership with ASU, enhance your international coursework with online classes that align with your degree requirements. ASU offers thousands of online courses in asynchronous 7.5-week sessions that fit within the ��ý academic calendar.

Requirements

All Global Semester Internship participants take the 9-credit full-time internship with the required embedded internship seminar, plus an optional ASU online course (ASU session A in spring, and ASU session B in fall) for a total of 9-13 semester credits.

ASU online courses: Typically 3 - 4 U.S. semester/4.5-6 quarter credits; 45-60 contact hours

Academic Culture

��ý courses are designed to follow U.S. academic culture and standards. The integrated academic course, which correlates with the internship, is taught in-person and asychronously. Students are expected to dress and behave professionally throughout their internship and are subject to the agreed-upon internship protocols arranged by ��ý and the host organization.

Arizona State University: Most ASU online courses are asynchronous. You may find yourself in classes with students from ASU, other American universities, and students from around the world. You’ll receive direct and individualized support from faculty, 100% online.

Class Format

Students participate in a full-time in-person internship and required academic course featuring both in-person class sessions and online asynchronous work designed to help students develop professional and intercultural competencies to complement their internship experience.

ASU online courses meet in “sessions” that are 7.5-weeks long in the semester, and all work must be completed within the session dates regardless of when your other ��ý courses begin or end.

Grading

The U.S. grading scale of A-F is used. Students are graded on the basis of in-class and online engagement and preparation, and specific assessments such as project work, presentations, and examinations.

ASU grading follows the same format and standards as ASU courses taught in-person. “Pass/fail” or “Audit” is not allowed for ��ý students.
